Volunteers are an integral part of the WYCCP team and contribute to the success of our organisation. We couldn’t do what we do without you!
The primary role of volunteer link workers is to work alongside the resettlement and family teams to provide support to men before and after release from prison and to provide support to the families of prisoners in the community.
We are looking for committed people who are emotionally mature, empathic and able to maintain firm boundaries. We recruit volunteers from all walks of life; what they have in common is the desire to help people, a non- judgemental approach, reliability, a willingness to be trained and with some time to give each week.
Volunteering opportunities are available Monday - Friday, 9:30am - 4pm. Volunteers are asked to spend approximately 3 hours per week at a time which is suitable to them. Opportunities are flexible and may change week to week.
