WYCCP UPDATE

It is with profound regret that after 21 years of this incredible service, we must inform you that WYCCP Resettlement Service will be closing its doors on the 16th October 2026.

The WYCCP Board made the difficult decision that we must close following a number of funding rejections over the last few months leading to an untenable cash flow position.

As you may imagine staff and the Board are devastated by this news and the effect that it will have on our service users, all vulnerable people many of whom need ongoing support. We are working hard to ensure some sort of transition for them and seeking to sign post them to alternative sources of support.

WYCCP works

The people we work with are doing well and we have excellent success rates. Based on over 9 years of monitoring figures we expect that 70% of the men who receive our support in the community will not have returned to prison one year from release.

I am proud of myself, my family is also proud of me, even a lot of my old pals are proud of me which is all good, and mostly down to these people at WYCCP.
