Our Team
Jane Daguerre
Director
I have been Director of the West Yorkshire Community Chaplaincy since September 2009 and love running a organisation that really does make a difference in the lives of people and their communities and has such a brilliant and committed team.
My previous job was Chief Executive of Active Faith Communities a multi-faith, multi-cultural charity set up in 2002. AFC focused both on supporting faith communities in West Yorkshire to develop social and community projects and in promoting and developing community cohesion.
Before becoming Chief Executive of Active Faith Communities I established Leeds Voice as the Community Empowerment Network for Leeds and ran it for eight years.
Prior to establishing Leeds Voice I was variously a Development Manager, a Start Afresh and Volunteer Co-ordinator and a Basic Skills Co-ordinator. These roles have given me a wide range of experience of the voluntary sector and issues around volunteering and I have worked widely with the diverse and disadvantaged communities of Leeds.

Kelly Manton
Office & Finance Manager
I joined the WYCCP team in November 2006 job sharing the role of Administrator. Having come from a private sector background this was my first role in the voluntary sector. I am often the first point of contact for service users who visit WYCCP and my main aim is to make them feel as welcome as possible. My role involves looking after the day to day running of the office as well as the administration, case management and finance duties.
Being part of the WYCCP team is both enjoyable and rewarding and no two days are ever the same.

Catherine Davey
Senior Resettlement Worker
I have been an active member of WYCCP since November 2009. Firstly as a volunteer Link Worker, then Assistant Key Worker and now I am a full time Resettlement Worker. My role is to support men leaving HMP Leeds out into the community. This is a very rewarding job where I feel proud to see first-hand, men who have no confidence or self-worth begin to believe in themselves and their abilities to achieve. Due to the challenging and chaotic lifestyles of our service users, I have to have a flexible approach to work which I enjoy immensely. Working for WYCCP is never boring!

Kirsty Harrop
Resettlement Worker
I have been an active member of WYCCP since November 2019, where I started as a volunteer. I then became a full-time resettlement worker. Now I am just beginning the role of a family support worker alongside resettlement worker role. My role is to support families that are impacted by the imprisonment of family members/partners etc. I also support men leaving HMP Leeds to resettle within the community in West Yorkshire. Everyday is different at WYCCP, and each day brings its own challenges and achievements that I never grow tired of. I am grateful to be part of the WYCCP team, and to witness first hand what these families/men can achieve alongside our support.

Naomi Syron
Family Worker
I joined WYCCP in October 2024 as Family Outreach Support Worker. A key part of my role is to support those families and children that are impacted by the imprisonment of family members. I have already met some families who have become part of our WYCCP family and their needs are very varied and individual to each family. Every day is unique at WYCCP and it is amazing to be working with some very inspirational team members, who I really make a big difference to people’s lives. Already I have seen the difference we can make to family’s life’s and I look forward to coming to work each day here at WYCCP. A truly incredible charity!

For seventeen of these years she was part of Oxfam’s Education Department hence her experience of inequality and poverty overseas has led her to campaign on these issues in the UK as well as in the global South. She recognises the privilege of doing work that has been fully in accord with her values: challenging injustice, supporting human rights and celebrating diversity. Currently she is the Vice-Chair of the Justice and Peace Commission of the Diocese of Leeds and a council member of Leeds Church Institute. She has experience of working in the voluntary sector and understands the ethos, practice and challenges of this sector. Trish was born in Somerset but has lived in Yorkshire for 40 years so would hope she is a “Yorkshire Woman” by adoption!

These roles have given him a well rounded understanding of both the prison service and the needs of those in our care and this experience supports him with his current role as the Regional Broker for New Futures Network. This role involves finding employment opportunities for prisoners on release and bringing commercial work into prisons.
