A message from one of our service users to one of our team. #teamWYCCP #makingadifference #peoplematter #appreciation #gratitude
Service User Feedback
Such great feedback from one of our service users, which highlights one of our great strengths as a team. “They show genuine compassion for us” - It is one thing to understand the difficulties and suffering of a person but it is another thing to let it move you to action, to help ease those difficulties and suffering.
We are Celebrating!
Last week we celebrated with one of our service users as he was allocated a property on release.
Community Matters
Our Fresh-Start group has been helping out in the community with a local gardening club, who are giving some much needed TLC to a local park. We are very proud of this group as they are passionate about helping the local area and giving their time to make a difference.
A Big THANK YOU to Metcalfe Smith Trust!
This week we were able to purchase a tv for one of our service users. A Big Thank you to Metcalfe Smith Trust for providing the grant to make this happen.
Team WYCCP!
We had a great time at our WYCCP away day yesterday. The staff were joined by our WYCCP board members as well as some of our volunteers and service users. A big thank you to Skelton Grange Environment Centre for providing a brilliant space and to Spices & Rices for our very tasty lunch.
We are Celebrating!
We are delighted to share that we have received #NationalLottery funding from The National Lottery Community Fund for our project! Thank you to National Lottery players for helping #MakeAmazingHappen.
Fresh-Start Friday!
Our Fresh-Start group were cleaning up the streets again last week. We really appreciate that they give their free time to bring some TLC to the local community.
A Generous Donation
We received a generous donation from Wickes last week. These pots of paint will be put to good use for our service users, many of whom are decorating their new properties.
A Huge THANK YOU!
We want to say a massive THANK YOU to CAF Rail for their recent donation to WYCCP, which enables us to continue our great work.
We are Recruiting!
We are looking for someone to join our team here at WYCCP.
As a Family Support Worker, you will give practical and emotional support to families whose loved ones are in prison. We are looking for a passionate, caring and committed individual who has a desire to make a difference.
Service User Feedback
At WYCCP, one of the key qualities of our staff, is that we go the extra mile for our service users. We genuinely believe that their past doesn’t have to dictate their future, so walking alongside them to encourage them into that future, is so vitally important.
Fresh-Start on Tour!
Our Fresh-Start group had a great time exploring York last week. We couldn’t have asked for better weather as we wandered around this historic city.
Time to celebrate!
Today was a good day! One of our service users moved into his new property. It has been a long time coming but he finally found a suitable property to become ‘home’ for himself and his son
Our Support Matters
At WYCCP we believe that people matter and that shows through every thread of our work. We don’t do what we do for the plaudits but to receive feedback like this from one of our service users means so much.
Great Feedback!
Volunteer Week
A few pics of some of our amazing volunteers last week.
A Big THANK YOU to our Amazing Volunteers!!
It is National Volunteer week this week and it is a special time to celebrate all of our amazing volunteers. We are so grateful to all of them who choose to give their time to help make a difference.
What a Team!
Volunteers Needed
We are recruiting! We couldn’t do what we do without the help of our amazing volunteers. Just by giving a small amount of time per week to help support our service users can make a massive difference in their lives. If you have a passion to help people then this is a role for you. Please get in touch for more info.
Mental Health Awareness Week
This week is Mental Health Awareness week. Life can be overwhelming sometimes but you don’t need to do it alone or suffer in silence. Please be kind to yourself and others. Speak up and share your ‘stuff’.
