Volunteer Week
A few pics of some of our amazing volunteers last week.
A Big THANK YOU to our Amazing Volunteers!!
It is National Volunteer week this week and it is a special time to celebrate all of our amazing volunteers. We are so grateful to all of them who choose to give their time to help make a difference.
What a Team!
Volunteers Needed
We are recruiting! We couldn’t do what we do without the help of our amazing volunteers. Just by giving a small amount of time per week to help support our service users can make a massive difference in their lives. If you have a passion to help people then this is a role for you. Please get in touch for more info.
Mental Health Awareness Week
This week is Mental Health Awareness week. Life can be overwhelming sometimes but you don’t need to do it alone or suffer in silence. Please be kind to yourself and others. Speak up and share your ‘stuff’.
Helping Hands!
Our Fresh-Start group was out and about cleaning up the streets last week. We love that they give up their time to volunteer and make a difference in the local community.
Service User Feedback
More great feedback from one of our service users. It is humbling to know that what we do, makes such an impact in their lives.
Why not become a Friend of WYCCP......

We really do appreciate the support.
Home Sweet Home!
We are celebrating with one of our service users who recently moved in to his permanent accommodation, all fitted with new carpets. We have been able to send some of our staff and volunteers to help install appliances and make it comfortable & liveable for him.
A Work of Art!
An incredible piece of art work from one of our super talented service users.
WYCCP DIY Dream Team
Last week one of our service users received the keys to his own accommodation, so this week some of our staff and volunteers went to help with some good old DIY.
Team work makes the dream work!
WYCCP Presentation
Last week we got to present the work of WYCPP to a local church group. It was so good to have one of our service users share about his experience of working with WYCCP and the support that he has received.
A Big THANK YOU!
We just want to say a big THANK YOU to the Metcalfe Smith Trust for the grants they have provided for several of our service users recently. These grants have genuinely made a huge impact to their lives.
Not all HEROES wear capes
Big shout to all the women of WYCCP on International Women’s Day.
The phrase has never been so fitting when summing up these women, that ‘not all heroes wear capes’. Each day they choose to come alongside those who need support, to be a voice for those who have no voice, to champion others in times of adversity and to give them another chance at a fresh start.
Compassionate, Reliable, Brave, Diligent, Gracious, Selfless, Encourager, Defender, Tenacious, Strong are just some of the qualities they possess. #internationalwomensday #WYCCPwonderwomen #girlpower #trueheroes
Spring has Sprung at WYCCP!
Spring is here early at the WYCCP office. These flowers were planted by Dave, who is one of our service users.
Fresh-Start head to the cinema
It was so good to be ‘out and about’ with some our Fresh-Start group last week. We enjoyed a trip to the cinema to watch the Bob Marley movie.
Fresh-Start Friday!
Our Fresh-Start group had a great time on Friday, we met for the first time at the New Wortley Community Centre. What a great facility in the heart of the community, offering so many activities and a welcoming environment.
Congratulations to us!!
Last week our Director and Office Manager attended the Mayor’s Safer Communities Fund Awards and we were so pleased to receive a grant which enables us to continue our great work.
A lovely gesture!
